Description:
This will be a 5K race event taking place on the Panther Run Trail behind the Carolina Forest Recreation Center as part of the First Annual Carolina Forest Day Festival! Join us for fun, music, crafts, and other fall festivities! This family freindly event is great for everyone.
Race Distance:
5K
Carolina Forest Day and Ghost of the Coast 5K Events:
12:00noon: Carolina Forest Day Begins
12:00noon-5:00pm: try local cuisine, listen to local music, and shop with local craft vendors!
Plus we will have plenty of free-be items available from local non-profits, community organizations, and your friendly Horry County Government team members!
2:00pm:Horry County Parks and Recreation will host a FREE trunk or treat for all children of Horry County on the fields behind the Recreation Center. The trunk or treat will feature games, face painting, and inflatables while numberous businesses and Horry County Departments pass out candy to the children. Please join us!
4:00pm: Ghost of the Coast 5k race begins!
5:15pm: Awards Ceremony

Packet Pick-Up/Late Registrations:
October 6th: Horry County Government & Justice Center Atrium, 11:00am-1:00pm
October 6th: Carolina Forest Recreation Center, 3:00-6:00pm
October 7th: Race afternoon at the gate 2:00pm
Start and Finish:
The start and finish lines will be behind the Carolina Forest Recreation Center on the Panther Run Trail.
Awards:
All participants completing the 5K will receive a custom finishers medal. Overall winners will not be eligible for age division awards. Overall winners and age division winners will receive a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place medal for the top three finishers in each division. See below for awards details. Awards will take place at 5:00pm.
